Privacy Policy

Our products work with your conversations and documents to do their job. That makes this page important, so it is written to be understood rather than to protect us.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

How to use this page

AfterMango is the umbrella for a set of separate products: browser extensions, Android apps, and Windows software. They are built differently and they handle data differently, so a single summary would be wrong about at least one of them.

This page describes the principles we build to and the things that are common across the range. Each product has its own policy with the specifics, and where the two differ, the product policy governs that product.

  • ChatGPT to PDF, Word & Markdown -> privacy policy
  • AI Chat Exporter for Gemini -> privacy policy
  • Claude to PDF, Word & Markdown -> privacy policy
  • YouTube Transcript Exporter -> no separate policy; see the section on this page
  • AI Chat Exporter -> privacy policy
  • Chat to PDF -> privacy policy
  • Markdown Studio -> privacy policy
  • Compress Video -> privacy policy
  • Markdown Room -> privacy policy

Our principles

  • A privacy policy should be readable by the person it affects, and easy to find.
  • Collection, storage, and processing should be kept to what the product actually needs.
  • Data practices should match what a reasonable person would expect from the product in front of them.

Your conversations and documents

Our exporters exist to turn something you already have into a file you can keep. We do not store or retain your AI conversations, and we do not use your conversations or documents to train machine learning models, ours or anyone else’s.

How and where the conversion is carried out varies between products. The policy for each product sets that out.

What our software needs access to

Browser extensions

Our ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and YouTube extensions need permission to read the page you are currently viewing. That permission is what lets them find the conversation or transcript and rebuild it as a PDF, Word, or Markdown file.

The YouTube Transcript Exporter is the simplest case: it works within your browser and does not send transcripts anywhere, so it has no separate policy.

Google Drive and Google Docs

If you use “Save to Drive” or “Export to Google Docs” in the ChatGPT extension, it asks for access to your Google Drive using the drive.file scope. That scope is deliberately narrow: it grants access only to files the extension itself creates. We cannot read, view, or scan your other Drive files.

We collect only the authentication token needed to upload the file you asked us to save. Tokens are transmitted encrypted and used for that session.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never used for advertising or retargeting, and is not transferred to third parties except as required by law or for security.

Android apps

Our Android apps need storage access to read the file you choose and to write the file they produce. They do not require an account or an email address.

We do not run our own analytics inside these apps. Three Google services are involved instead:

  • Google AdMob serves the ads that keep the free apps free. AdMob may collect device identifiers, including your Android Advertising ID, and usage data in order to show personalised or non-personalised ads depending on your device settings.
  • Google Play Console gives us aggregated, anonymised statistics such as installs, crashes, and ratings. We cannot identify individual users from it.
  • Google Play Billing handles in-app purchases. Google shares only the confirmation needed to unlock what you bought. We never receive your card details.

You can limit this. Android lets you reset your Advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in Settings, under Privacy and then Ads. Buying a premium upgrade where offered also removes the ads.

Windows software

Markdown Room works with files already on your PC and has no account system and no ads. Its policy has the detail.

Websites and analytics

This website, aftermango.com, uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. It sets cookies and records usage data such as the pages you visit, approximate location, the site that referred you, and your device and browser type. We do not use it for advertising.

Visitors in the EU, the wider European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before Google Analytics cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses and requested pages, as a normal part of serving and securing a website.

Our product sites gptsexporter.com and its subdomains, where the extensions are documented and subscriptions are sold use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Visitors in the EU and UK are shown a consent banner, and Google Analytics is not loaded unless consent is given.

Subscriptions and payments

Web subscriptions are sold through gptsexporter.com, which is run by the same team, and are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record. In-app purchases on Android go through Google Play Billing. This website does not process payments.

In both cases we receive confirmation that a purchase is active and the email address tied to it. We never receive or store your full card number.

Support email

If you email us we keep the thread so we can help you and understand recurring problems.

What we never do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
  • We do not store or retain your AI conversations.
  • We do not use your conversations or documents to train machine learning models, ours or anyone else’s.
  • We do not use Google Drive or Docs data for advertising or retargeting.

One exception worth naming plainly: our free Android apps show ads, and Google AdMob collects advertising identifiers to do that. Ad serving is still data sharing, and it would be misleading to leave it out of a list like the one above.

Legal basis and your rights

Where applicable law requires one, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the products, legal compliance, and your consent.

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. You can unsubscribe from any email we send. Uninstalling a product ends its access immediately, and browser extension permissions can be reviewed and revoked from your browser’s extension settings.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, or for as long as we are legally required to.

Children

Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to a product’s data handling will be announced in that product.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, go to contact@gptsexporter.com. For anything else, see our contact page.
